Most clients do not want a template based design that will look like someone else's layout. This is where I come in, I meet with my clients, get to know thier business and convert thier vision into realty through creative design so they stand out from the rest.

I have learned over the years that taking the little bit of extra time in the begining will help reduce design changes which reduces time and cost. I live by the motto "Do it right the first time and move on to the next".

recreation

As the design to the right is not a recreation, knowing how to scan an image and re-create is vital in this industry. Some people don't have thier design files, especially logos, and they need to keep the same exact look no matter what.

Some instances people just have a small jpeg image of thier logo and they need it blown up on a 8' banner, this is where recreation plays it's most vital role, vector style. Making sure all elements are enlarged to scale without blur for a perfect piece of art.

staying current

Programs are constantly changing, new tools, effects and better programming all done to help the designer. Fall behind and lose your edge. I started out in Photoshop 5.5, taught college students in version 7 and kept up with all the releases shortly after they come available.

Taking new opportunities and expanding my knowledge I moved out of Florida to Georgia to pursue a job in the IT field. Learning SQL and other server applications has helped me better utilize server applications.

To stay current in graphic and web design I kept up with freelancing and with a little bit of effort created an LLC so I could provide the printing service as well, however, working for a firm is what I envision.
